it is okay to knock off the back end of an historic building to put up a car garage but when I come to Nutt Street, we have a problem. Is this the same hotel that was supposed to be built 2 years ago along with the convention center? I find it incredulous that a firm plan was not already in place with approved designs, easements, parking, access, utility connections and an impact study.
And now an envisioned ballpark is already in the works and funds are being expended on that project as well? With the same leadership at the helm and straying from shoulder to shoulder of the path to success, I believe we need to get some fresh blood into the leadership positions that are creating Wilmington's own version of the National Debt.
I have a solution; start building across the river from downtown and plan it all out; your ballpark, this hotel, parking garages and any other controversial developments that are going to impact the historic downtown.
Remember; one must stand outside the forest to see the trees!!!!!!
take it across the river
