IN HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL NORTH BRUNSWICK SHUTOUT EAST BLADEN 10-0. IN HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS WAKEFIELD BEAT HOGGARD 5-1 IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE STATE TENNIS PLAYOFFS. IN HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS LANEY NIPPED EAST CHAPEL HILL 5-4 IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE STATE TENNIS PLAYOFFS. LANEY HIGH SCHOOL HAS NAMED NATHAN FAULK AS THE BOYS HEAD BASKETBALL COACH. FAULK SUCCEEDS VETERAN COACH FRED LYNCH. THE UNCW MEN'S TENNIS TEAM RECEIVED AN AT-LARGE BID TO THE NCAA TENNIS TOURNAMENT.
