Man arrested after allegedly beating up landlord


BLADEN COUNTY, NC -- Bladen County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man for allegedly beating up his landlord.
Shawn Nathan Faulk Jr., 23, is accused of beating Robert Allen Gooden, 71, Saturday morning.

Gooden had previously evicted Faulk from his residence on Hester Street in Clarkton. Police say Gooden and Faulk began arguing. Police say Faulk then beat Gooden in the face with his fists.

Gooden was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Faulk is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury.
