From the comments, it seems that people from both sides of political aisles are getting it. I'll be the first to admit that it "sounds" terrible to enact cuts to educational spending, but the reality is that the cuts are really just cutting WASTE out of the education budget.
Increases in "education spending" are not going to go to good teachers, libraries, computers, books, or classroom supplies. It's going to fund a slew of special government programs which keep expanding our entitlement society. I think folks have had it up to their ears with the free babysitting and finding out that these kids still aren't minimally for kindergarten.
