The constitution? You want to go there? Ammendment 1 of the US Constitution says Congress shall not prohibit the free excercise of religion. Marriage is a religious institution. Perhaps if the government hadn't trampled on the seperation of church and state (which is intended to keep the government out of churches, not the other way around) you wouldn't have been crushed by the awesome power of democracy on Tuesday. FAIL
