If the majority of the populations of 59% of the states are against gay marriage and more states look like they will be deciding against it in the near future, how could 51% of Americans be in favor of gay marriage? Those numbers just don't add up.
Regardless of anyone's position on gay marriage, this certainly is a good reaason not to believe in the veracity of polls.
