GREENSBORO, NC (AP) -- A Christian legal group has dropped a lawsuit against the University of North Carolina Greensboro after the university agreed to recognize a pro-abstinence, anti-abortion Christian group. The Alliance Defense Fund said Tuesday the suit had served its purpose by forcing the school to give the group called "Make Up Your Own Mind" access to university facilities and funding like it does for other groups. The university said the dispute happened after school officials misinterpreted the university's non-discrimination policy. The defense fund thanked UNC-Greensboro for doing the right thing after the lawsuit was filed. (Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
