They may want to rail against the renters, but it will come back to bite them since the renters vote.

I don't smoke. I can't stand to be around others when they smoke. I do put up with it when it is a family member. I think cigarette butts are nasty and people who will throw them just anywhere are low-class. I do however think that Wrightsville Beach will be shooting itself in the foot if they ban smoking on the beaches. Those smokers will take their business somewhere else. It would probably more cost effective in the long run to hire someone to clean the butts up if they are so concerned with appearance.
