the lien wiped out...yes. Monthly dues...no. As the Treasurer of my HOA, I can assure you that in a foreclosure, the dues are immediately the responsibility of the new owner...unless the CC&R's of a HOA address it differently with respect to foreclosures.
What isn't known, at this point, is whether Brian lived in a development controlled by a HOA.
