WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police hosted an event aimed at turning lives around today. The point of the U-Turn Luncheon was to pair young people who need a change in their life with local professionals. Chris Phillips was there to represent WWAY. Speaker Keijuane Hester, made bad choices that landed him in prison, but he owned up to his mistakes and turned his life around, he now owns a successful business. Hester believes young people need role models. "It's always good for kids to see a positive image, and it's not about how far you get knocked down," Hester said. "It's about how quickly you can bounce back and get back up." Today's U-Turn Luncheon was for men. A luncheon for women is also planned.
