Not too long ago there was a decision being made whether to use the old hospital facilities as a VA hospital or build a new VA hospital in Wilmington. Mike McIntyre lobbied for it to be in Wilmington. That was no surprise since Mike McIntyre doesn't give a hoot what happens on this side of the river. Anyway, the final decision was to build a new hospital in Wilmington instead of utilizing the existing building in Brunswick County.
