As a Local, WILM, May I speak...

I wish too say on behalf of ALL residents, Of Wilmington & Brunswick Counties..

This Man "Gave his Life", so others could live on...

I wish, On behalf of Our long time residences AND People that have experienced our Blue~Green waters, However Tranquil, carries a deadly risk..
Warnings were posted..
The first 3 should~of heeded these *warnings*.

However, they, themselves may have never experienced "conditions" that attributed to this TRAGIC loss...

To Folks visiting, PLEASE, learn to "watch" the waters identifing Slews & "sloths", that produce these Strong currents.. In other words; Rip tides, or very Strong Long Shore currents...
Read the signs posted at such places like Carolina Beach, at Public accesses that Have pictures, "showing" examples of what Rips, and "slews", that Make these Deadly Currents, that could very well t will tire you, quickly; ending in PANIC, ending Your life, and possibly those of others...

I don't know, exactly, what the residents of Bald head Island have in terms of warnings, etc, though, for visiting AMERICANS, Such as this Man, Mr. Kevin Scott Roberts, 43, of Mt. Lookout, WV
Most likly didn't know, nor experienced Surf conditions that day, as the First 3 apperently Didn't...
In addition to the Proximity of the Mouth of the Cape Fear, well, Double your possible dangerious conditions...
Bald Head Should have a brochure, or Pamplet, that explains conditions, etc, for visiting residents, Seriously....
What's a few hundred bucks a year, IF it just saves ONE LIFE? Printing or adding such information to the Vacation Pamplet's...

To the Family of Mr. Kevin Scott Roberts, Please accept OUR most Sincere, Condolances, From Our Communities, Of Brunswick & New Hanover Counties, On your Tragic Loss, Kevin done what he could, successfully completing His Mission , saving 3 Lives... Giving up His Own..A Hero, in the sense of the Term, in everyones eyes & thoughts as well ...
I hope; I can speak for Our communities... Sincerly, from everyone, residing in New Hanover & Brunswick County Communities.
