it was not a matching funds type of grant. The memberships of WDI and DBA would match the dollars granted by the city on a dollar to dollar basis. If the City puts $60,000 on the table, the memberships of the 2 business promoter groups put $60,000 on the table at the same time.
Think how much more effective an advertising campaign could be with twice the swag to spend.
And then, maybe other citizens would begin to think thi isn't just a handout.
