GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Authorities in Greensboro say a man was killed after police chased his car and it crashed into a tree and went down an embankment. The News & Record of Greensboro reports that police said two officers were responding to a call Wednesday morning when they noticed a car being driven in a careless and reckless manner. A statement from police said the driver failed to stop at two red lights before driving erratically. The driver accelerated and sped away from the pursuing officers. A patrol unit saw headlights just off West Market Street and discovered the car. Police say 37-year-old Zsarr McCoy was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said an investigation into the incident is continuing. (Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.)
