Everyone is complaining about annexation because they don't want to pay taxes to the city. Wilmington is the economic center of our region and your success, whether you live inside the borders or not, is dependent on the cities success. Basically you all want to live near a beautiful metropolis and reap all of the benefits of doing so but don't want to pay anything to help support it. You all sound like a bunch of leaches complaining that someone is trying to make you chip in.
