How about this budget cut-have the police officers drive their own cars to work then pick up the police vehicle to begin their work day. It costs the CB taxpayers a great deal of $$$$ to allow the officers to drive the police vehicle home, especially the trucks, which some live off St. Andrews Dr in Wilmington & even farther then that. Think about the fuel costs to the town that can be cut if the police vehicles are left at the beach & any other town vehicles left at the office & the individual drive their own car & receive the average .36cents/mile like I did when I worked in mental health. The town leaders need to rethink how they can cut back on their own before increasing taxes. Tighten the belt buckle yourself & do without just like the rest of us.
