I believe Guest3 is trying to state, guns don't kill people, people kill people. Cars don't kill people, people driving cars kill people. Just as people are privileged to have a car, why aren't they privileged to have guns. Regardless of the weapon in the hands of the beholder (car, gun, knife, fist, etc), the beholder accepts responsibility of the outcome.
Take the story a week ago, the lady used her car to kill her boyfriend. What if she had used a gun instead? Would it have made a difference in how you felt? Would it have been more of a tragedy?
How about the poor guy who overcorrected and landed in the creek off of Castle Hayne Road? Tragic.
The fatal accident this morning on NC133, because someone trying to pass another. Did the person passing use precaution and good judgment?
May the Dear Lord be with each and all of the families that have lost loved ones in a tragic situation. No one wants the call or the knock on the door.
Point being.....
