City budget passes in unanimous vote

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- City council unanimously approved next year's budget in a second reading.

The budget includes a three cent tax increase that would fund maintenance for roads, sidewalks, city buildings and parks.

City leaders say those needs have been put on the back burner for several years.
