Thanks for your comment and question. No, it's not an endorsement. It's just a personal preference. An endorsement would be me or anyone saying, "I want it! You should all go out an encourage the city to build it." It's like endorsing a political candidate. It's one thing to prefer a candidate and vote for him or her. It's another to go out and try to sway other people to your position.
As far as the ballpark, what our scientific poll and the subsequent non-scientific polls have shown is that the vast majority of people in Wilmington and the surrounding area like the idea of having a ballpark in town. The question is, and the division starts with, how to pay for it? In fact, I don't know of a single organized group that is AGAINST the ballpark itself. The two groups that have served as the opposition have questioned the city using taxpayer money for it. They have actually said they like the idea of minor league baseball in Wilmington.
