As a single income father with a wife and 3 kids, I pay a lot out of pocket for my insurance. My company pays a good portion as well. I am not rich, but am in a good position because I made good decisions. Why is it that I should pay for those that make porr decisions? Why do they think that the companies will keep the insurance. Most will cut and pay the fine, then the employees will have to pay on their own. Thats awesome! I read that the cost for my family will be near $16,000. That is more than I pay now and by governmnet math it will be more likely $20,000.
So for all of you that think its a good worthy cause...chip in some extra money. You can always pay more that the government charges you each year. Why should those in this country that have because of hard work good decisions pay for those that didn't! Entitlement isn't good! How about all those that pay the fine, will they be denied healthcare at the hospital? will they have to pay the full bill? This is just not a good idea. Forcing us to pay for a product from a for profit company. Nobody is going to win from this! Especially not my kids who will have to go with less cause their dad made good decisions and now has to pay for those that didn't!
There were already programs avaiable for kids and low income families..why didn't they just expand those programs! Why? Pandering to voters!
