add to your reading the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
One of the reasons for the Declaration was the King's policy "... For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent..."
Were that to be applied today, not certain all of the city taxes proposed for the construction of the ball park, convention center, and other questionable public projects would make the cut.
And citizens are allowed "...Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness..."
Nowhere in any of the documents is there a reference to the use of taxpayer dollars to fund free eats, free cell phones, free housing, free health care, or any of the other giveaway programs which have popped up and grown beyond all reasonable proportions.
Perhaps its time for another revolution? Or at least vote out of office all of the liberal spenders, who care not whether the government has the funds, and push forward all of these freebies for those who choose not to work and provide for their own pursuit of happiness.
If you fail to vote in November, don't cry after January 1.
