CFCC to hold public forums for presidential finalists

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) -- The Cape Fear Community College Board of Trustees has narrowed down the pool of presidential candidates to five finalists will hold a series of public forums the next two weeks.

The purpose of the forums is to give a chance for college employees, students and the general public to meet each of the finalists and give their feedback to the college board of trustees.

The forums will be held on the following schedule:

Wednesday, July 18, 1 p.m., Wilmington Campus Cafeteria
Thursday, July 19, 1 p.m., Wilmington Campus Cafeteria
Monday, July 23, 1 p.m., Wilmington Campus Cafeteria
Tuesday, July 24, 1 p.m., Wilmington Campus Cafeteria
Wednesday, July 25, 1 p.m., Wilmington Campus Cafeteria

A different candidate will be featured at each forum. The names of the candidates will be released Monday.

During the program, each candidate will be asked to give a presentation about their background and vision for the college, followed by a question and answer session. Guests will then be able to talk briefly with the candidates individually.

Guests will be asked to provide feedback and impressions about each candidate. That information will be provided to the trustees and will be considered a part of the final selection process.
