CFCC holds public forums for presidential candidates


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Cape Fear Community College Board of Trustees will hold public forums in their search for a new president.

The five candidates are Dr. William Carver, Dr. Richard Federinko, Dr. Greg Rutherford, Dr. Ted Spring and Dr. Rod Townley.

Their experience ranges from current president of Nash Community College to current president of York Technical College.

The forums will allow college employees, students, and the general public to learn more about the candidates' backgrounds and give feedback in the series of forums that will be held this week and next.

The forums will be held on the following schedule:

Wednesday, July 18, 1 p.m., Wilmington Campus Cafeteria
Thursday, July 19, 1 p.m., Wilmington Campus Cafeteria
Monday, July 23, 1 p.m., Wilmington Campus Cafeteria
Tuesday, July 24, 1 p.m., Wilmington Campus Cafeteria
Wednesday, July 25, 1 p.m., Wilmington Campus Cafeteria

CFCC hopes to have a president in place by the time classes begin next month.
