"Best Hospital"? I was happy to leave that place. I'm now in New England area as a traveling nurse and have had the opportunity to work at 4 hospitals since leaving NHRMC. I have now had an opportunity to work at some outstanding hospitals.
Patient care at NHRMC is clearly not the priority - the atmosphere is such that a few VP's dismiss staff and managers at a whim; while portraying no allegiance to their own superiors. The environment there is mis-trust and intimidation with little focus on patient care. It's too bad that hospital board members don't wake up to the fact that replacing a few senior level managers would move the hospital in a positive direction. It is no wonder that the hospital lost it's MAGNET status a couple of years ago. Instead of leadership accountability for losing the Magnet Designation, the hospital board continues to put up with such lackluster performance.
