This article says: "Yes, there are sharks in the Intracoastal Waterway in our area. Fatzinger says although an attack is highly unlikely, swimmers should avoid swimming at dawn and dusk and wearing jewelry". If there were less than 30 shark attacks in the US last year, this is good unless you were attack victim #1,#30 or any of the ones in between. It says shark attacks are unlikely and while this may be true, it doesn't say they will not happen. There is only one sure fired way to insure that you are not attacked or eaten by a shark and that is not to get in his bowl of soup, however, considering the fact that some people absolutely have to do it, I think they should bring their own salt and pepper. In other words be prepared for the fact that you may be bitten or eaten. In their environment, we are subject to their rules and they do not always favor us even though they may savor our flavor.
