WINSTON-SALEM, NC (AP) -- Winston-Salem police say a 67-year-old man has been shot to death after he attacked a man with a sword. The Winston-Salem Journal reported that 56-year-old James Samuels was arrested Wednesday and charged with possession of a gun by a convicted felon and the sale and delivery of marijuana. But police say Samuels will not be charged with killing Anthony Alphonzo McArthur because Samuels was acting in self-defense. Winston-Salem police say McArthur had attacked Samuels with an 18-inch sword because he was unhappy with the amount of marijuana he purchased from Samuels. It was not clear if Samuels has an attorney. (Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.)
