Hampstead man shot at concert in Raleigh

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- A Hampstead man is still in the hospital after being shot at a concert in Raleigh Friday night.

Raleigh Police say Travis Pollard, 36, was shot while leaving a Jason Aldean concert.

police responded to the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion around 11 p.m. Friday.Pollard was taken to WakeMed, where he is in fair condition.

Pollard owns Lighthouse Electric Inc. in Hampstead.

In a facebook post, Aldean responded to the shooting, saying, "There's no excuse for things getting that heated in traffic leavin a show. I'm prayin for the fan who was injured and thanks to the Raleigh Police for acting so quickly."

Police say the investigation continues. No charges have been filed.
