You have a couple of fellas with a criminal past who obviously didn't learn their lessons the first time around. They did wrong and they should be held accountable.
These boys have a family, and there are people who grow up in the best of families who have gone astray. There comes a time in everyone's life where they need to stand up and take accountability for their own actions. Regardless of their upbringing, these two are at an age where they know right from wrong.
To the mom, there are a lot of people who grew up in similar situations as your son that aren't out there breaking the law. As for the mean things that people are saying, they do have a right to say them. If they hurt you then I encourage you just not to read them.
I don't know your son's situation or his history. If drug addiction is a part of his problem then there is help out there. Regardless, it is like you said, it's not too late for him to turn his life around, but he has to want to.
