Fletcher and Orrock

West Brunswick football, here we go again with the same old option play and up the middle. I was at the game and curious to see exactly what fletcher had done with his second chance as coach with this team. Fletcher and Orrock didn't disappoint, they did exactly as I expected, They failed. Lets examine several problems with their coaching. First of all they need a quarterback, there are atleast 2 young men on the sidelines that are better than the 2 starters, but as always not given the opportunity to compete for the starting job because of favortism or who their parents are. Secondly there are several other players that are not given even a chance to compete for starting jobs at any position. Fletcher says everyone will get a chance to prove themselves at the scrimmages, but it hasn't happened. Lastly, coaching is instruction, teaching and showing players what mistakes they make and how to correct it. This concept does not exsist with Fletcher and Orrock, they just replace the player. What about the kids who stay in school to play sports, Coaches are suppose to encourage and develop these kids into responible young men and students. The west coaches dont take any time to craft or develop these kids. There is alot of talented players at west that will not play football this year, because of the coaches and the way they are treated. I heard a teacher say once, if your current stratgey doesn't work, then you need to change what your doing.
