BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office says a 15-year-old is dead after a swimming accident in the Longwood area.

Emergency crews responded to the call around 5 p.m. Sunday.

After a more than two hour search, divers found the teen's body in a pond near Hughes-Smith Road and Longwood Road.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
