those news releases come right out of Raleigh; and contain more blow hard nonsense about the commissioner than about the actual alleged crime. And they appear all over the state.
Truth be known, more assets are spent on these trivial cases than is recovered. They'll do no time; probably no fine; and definitely no follow up to report the actual outcome of the case.
Next, you'll have that state employee post one of his "and that's why I'm voting for Wayne" statements.
Wayne should start packing his personal belongings and ready himself for a return to Robeson County unless he can get Smiley to appoint him to a cushy state job before she leaves office; just as was done for his wife when she left the legislature.
