Until you know the whole truth, keep your mouth shut. Emmett's down fall is that he is to good a family man, and person.
Putting gas in personal vehicle:
Do you know how many times he drove his own vehicle on Police related calls because that was the quickest way to get to the call from family or personal events. I mean yes he could have drove all the way to the station or his home where his town car was, but no he wanted to go straight to the call and handle the call ASAP. He was a very good and honest Chief. I'll always look up to him for that.
His son:
Emmett just wants to be the best Dad he can be for his Son and Daughter. You can't tell me other parents have not bent the rules for their kids. I don't know many other men that are as good a person as Emmett and I guess in the long run that was his downfall. Being such a good person made others jealous and they couldn't stand it and had to find some fault to try and bring him down so that they would feel better about their self.
