Now we have a sample size even bigger than Civitas and the numbers are still blatantly AGAINST using taxpayer dollars. Even if all the undecideds voted yes it would still be a MANDATE against using taxpayer monies.
This tells us that the PPP poll was bad and they attempted a follow up in the hopes to change these numbers.
I don't believe they succeeded - otherwise hyphen lady at the Chamber and Duke would be dancing in the streets.
And please don't insult anyone's intelligence by saying its not done yet. PPP has the capability to give instantaneous gross results so that the ongoing polls can be expanded to a greater sampling number.
We won't hear about the poll though. The CoC said "it's private".
Of course all the poll was for was to tell them how to conduct their media campaign. So now what? I can see the Chamber now:
"Religion didn't work so don't bring up revivals"
"Economic impact didn't work don't bring up that"
"Having a city park didn't work don't bring up that"
"Changing it to "multi use facility" didn't work don't bring up that"
So try this:
Just have an old guy standing near the river, single tear streaming down his cheek. As he turns to the camera the words: "I just wanted a ball park no matter what" appear on the screen. (remember the old anti litter campaign with the American Indian?)
Its all they have left....
