if I read correctly, Ripkin's proposal does not include a mandate that they would operate a team @ the site they would build. In fact, it appears they would be perfectly content to lease the ball park use to Mandalanta.
If I read correctly, their proposed site is across the river on 421. That should allow easier access to I-40 and I-440 as well as 17 South and 74/76.
That certainly takes the burden off the city property tax payers.
Of course, the owner of that over priced piece of river front real estate does not get to unload his albatross onto the City.
