The "era" of build it and they will come is over, defunct, finished, kaput.
Do you know why our center isn't working Chuck? Try this gut check. If our center was successful there'd be hotel room shortages down town and Shoninger would have already started the hotel he was planning on in 2010 across the street from the CC.
There is no room shortage because the CC has not attracted the number or actual "visitors" that would cause the shortage to exist.
It is losing money....and will for the foreseeable future if not forever.

Our CC was built during an economic down turn but the down turn in convention type meeting attendance had been ongoing for awhile before that.
