Easley refers to our former governor, dear. He owns a home on the island. It is Davina, not Davida, btw. Her murder was ruled a suicide by local and state officials who wanted to please BHI homeowners while allowing business (drug) as usual. I believe this writer is trying to say, as others do, that things have not really changed much on the island in terms of open government and genuine care about the residents and tourists. That's why Davina is still important and always will be.
