I served in Vietnam and saw significant combat time, and also saw more than 6 of my friends die, including one who was killed by a tiger (fyi - in most instances, if you are killed by a tiger, the tiger will start eating you before you actually die). Every person with whom I served who acted like this was an asshole before he saw combat.
What this Marine did was criminal, and he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. He has disgraced the Corps, and gets no sympathy from me. He chose the wrong path in his life, as he is obviously not mentally strong enough to handle Corps life in war time. Being *physically* strong and capable is only part of what makes a real warrior.
