If you have not read the book how can you comment he should be punished? He is very clear at the beginning of the book about his intentions and they did not include revealing anything that would endanger his fellow Seals or the USA. His only danger I believe is from the administration. As some of the other commenters state, most of it we already know from news after the attack and this is just his first person account.
