1. According to this article "The ACC in turn gets one of the nation's premier football programs..." That is not an accurate statement inasmuch as Notre Dame will remain an independent, even though it will play 5 ACC games.
2. Because ND will not be an ACC football member, it brings little to the table, since football is its primary claim to fame. Although ND's basketball teams have been ranked a few years, it does not have much of a history in the rankings.
3. Exempting ND from full membership sets a bad precedent. Will existing ACC members such as Clemson, Florida State, etc. want to pick and choose which sports to participate in the ACC in future?
