Most of the crime cases I've read about that have this extreme violence (overkill), where even the children are killed savagely, are usually committed by a family member who flies into a rage. I've always believed McDonald killed his wife and kids, and I still do. To me, believing that hippies broke into his house and killed everyone but him is just ridiculous.
