Southport will always be known for it's great LOCAL Maritime Heritage. Kinda ironic that they are so opposed to building a Port there that would make their Maritime Heritage known around the world. Perhaps the memorial should be placed at St. James, so the NO PORT guys can look at it every day??
Maybe if Wilmington votes against a baseball stadium, they can also build a memorial for all the locals that have once gone on to play professional baseball too?
