Scares the hell out me to think that there *may* have been an emergency repair on the bridge and yet DOT knows nothing about it.
In a word, this is pathetic. Two words?: really pathetic. If NCDOT doesn't know what is going on, who does? Who owns this?
I just hope no emergency care was compromised because of this. If it's known that the bridge is closing, emergency services can prepare and plan ahead. THAT is more than just a frustrating inconvenience.
