"First, we plan to include the parking charge in the ticket cost for future events"
So, how do they plan on handling those that have paid to park elsewhere, and walk or take the trolley to events, or work nearby? Stay at the Hilton with no need to park there, or fly in from the Airport, and take a taxi and you still get to pay for parking. Or, ride the bus from home or wherever?
If 4 people ride in a vehicle, do all 4 have the parking charge included in the ticket cost? An awful lot of those events - business shows, liquidation sales, etc - are low ticket cost. So, not instead of paying $5.00 to get in, you get to pay , what $13.00 whether you parked there or not?
Maybe a better idea would have been to issue a ticket on the way in. Pay when you pay your admission, and give your "paid" ticket to the attendant on the way out.
