First of all I am a conservative and vote accordingly.

Please keep in mind that the current leaders of the New Hanover County Republican Party are the same leaders that were in place last year when Brian Berger fully revealed his incompetence as a commissioner. Those leaders not only stood behind Berger but refused to respond to the voters' concerns. The local GOP leaders failed us and are still in power.

However, this may or may not be a reflection of Melissa Gott. She may be well qualified to help our County, which is what this is all about.

I just ask my fellow conservatives to be diligent in researching our candidates.
