Two arrested after library break-in

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Two men are charged with a break-in at the Pender County Library in Hampstead.

While Pender County Sheriff's deputies investigated an alarm at the library, a deputy stopped Nicholas Marshall and Kimonte Cook walking in the area and arrested them after evidence at the scene tied them to the break-in.

The duo has also been charged with several breaking and enterings that happened overnight in the area.

Investigators say Marshall had pending warrants for previous commercial business breaking and enterings in Hampstead over the last couple of months. Those warrants included break-ins at Sea Salt Bakery, Coastal Carolina Pro, Natalie's Hair salon, Pender County Library, The Hooked Fish, North State Gardens, Scoops, Doodles, and Gift Baskets, Topsail Animal Hospital, Landmark Audio Visual and Hampstead Family Dentistry.
