Family and friends remember fallen soldier at viewing

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Loved ones of Wilmington soldier Sgt. T.J. Butler gathered at Andrews Mortuary in Wilmington Thursday night.

Family invited friends to the viewing that included dozens of flags held by veterans and others, lining the front of the mortuary on Market Street.

Sgt. Butler died during a suicide bombing attack last week in Afghanistan.

His funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Wilmington.
