Man arrested for Bladen County hold-ups

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A Fayetteville man is in jail charged with three hold-ups in Bladen County.

Charles Edward Leach Jr., 22, was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and three counts of 2nd degree kidnapping.

Investigators say Leach robbed three people during three separate incidents in the parking lot of two businesses in Tar Heel October 3 and 4.

Leach admitted to shaving his hair off after his photo was released to the public. Investigators say he also admitted his involvement in the Bladen County crimes. They say all three victims also identified him.

Deputies say they also recovered a 2002 Ford Taurus deputies say was stolen in one of the crimes.

Lumberton Police arrested Leach October 6 on separate charges of burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to court records. He is in the Robeson County Jail under a $1,000,500 secured bond.
