Camp Lejeune Marines train at Fort Bragg

FORT BRAGG, NC (AP) -- Marines from Camp Lejeune have headed inland to train at Fort Bragg with the Army.

The Fayetteville Observer reported the 10th Marine Regiment is training at Fort Bragg until Oct. 26.

Capt. Stephen Wodrich says it's helpful to train in an unfamiliar environment as the Marines practice for missions overseas.

The Marines are on duty 24 hours a day during their two-week training. They will simulate airlifts, evacuations and troop mobilizations.

They also will follow Fort Bragg's restrictions on mass firing between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. daily and between 10 a.m. and noon on Sundays.
