This one is basic, too, and everyone learned it in driver's ed.
When you are entering a highway from an on-ramp, by the time you are in the acceleration lane you should be matching the speed of the highway traffic. FAR too many people try to get onto I-40 or the bypass (both 70 mph) while trying to merge at 55 or 60.
