Hurricane Sandy passes; gusty winds remain

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The National Hurricane Center has lifted the Tropical Storm Warning from Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender counties. Overall Sandy behaved much as we expected with rain 1-3" across the area, some minor coastal flooding, and winds gusting to 40-50 mph. Rainfall is over with now as the storm has passed to our north. Gusty winds will remain for a while; lasting through late Monday.
